"Golf & Trades was created to give others the kind of education that can truly change their path — not with shortcuts or hype, but with honest guidance and a clear process."
I'm Chris, founder of Golf & Trades. I've spent more than 10 years in the futures markets learning, refining, and building a trading approach rooted in discipline, patience, and real experience.
My journey into trading started through mentorship. I had the opportunity to learn from someone with more than 25 years of market experience, and over four years I gained knowledge that would have otherwise taken decades to build on my own. That experience shaped the way I see trading and became the foundation for everything I teach today.
What makes my story different is that I built my trading skills while also working full time in executive leadership roles — including serving as both COO and CEO during my career. I know what it means to pursue trading while balancing work, responsibility, and everyday life. Trading is not about escaping life. It is about developing a skill with consistency, discipline, and the right mindset.

Where Discipline Meets Markets
Golf has played a major role in how I approach both business and trading. I'm a dedicated golfer and a member at an indoor golf club. Over the years, I've seen how closely golf and trading mirror each other.
Both require patience, emotional control, discipline, risk management, and the ability to stay focused under pressure. Both reward the people who keep learning and keep showing up. That philosophy is what Golf & Trades is built on.
The Parallel
| Trait | On the Course | In the Markets |
|---|---|---|
| Patience | Waiting for the right shot, not forcing it | Waiting for the right setup, not chasing the market |
| Emotional Control | Staying composed after a bad hole | Staying disciplined after a losing trade |
| Discipline | Committing to your pre-shot routine every time | Following your trading plan without exception |
| Risk Management | Knowing when to lay up instead of going for the pin | Knowing when to reduce size or stay out entirely |
| Continuous Learning | Reviewing your round, adjusting your swing | Reviewing your trades, refining your process |
My goal is simple. I want to help people seriously learn the futures markets through practical education that makes sense — whether they are starting from zero or looking to sharpen their foundation. No gimmicks. No flashy promises. Just real education, real experience, and a commitment to helping people grow.
Outside of trading, I value faith, family, friendships, travel, and spending time on the golf course with people I care about. That balance is not separate from trading — it is the reason for it.

"If you are serious about learning, you're in the right place."
